Southwest Hospitals MRI Center located in Oak Lawn is an affiliate of two prestigious hospitals on Chicago's Southwest side: Little Company of Mary Hospital and Palos Community Hospital. The ongoing technical evolution in the healthcare industry has enabled Southwest Hospitals MRI Center to proactively upgrade our MRI equipment to provide our clientele the most up to date, State of the Art facilities around. Our conventional High Field 1.5 Tesla unit and Siemens Open High Field MRI 1.5 Tesla unit are the elite in the business. More common Open MRI facilities in this market present clients with a lower magnetic field strength, ranging from .2 Tesla to .7 Tesla. Such low magnetic field strength can disrupt the image quality. Southwest Hospitals MRI Center has the machines, the technology, and the personnel to afford our clients the best results in the industry and sets us apart from our competition.
Our Open High Field MRI 1.5T unit offers the ability to perform most MRI procedures on claustrophobic and oversized patients. The new revolutionary Open High Field MRI offers, for the first time, CT-like comfort. So it's heads out and feet first for most exams. Also, we can accommodate a patient up to 450 lbs.
